The week thats been

Heyoo! Wow, 3rd blog to be posted in a week!! There is just so much to say. So I will begin with Monday...

Monday

From my previous blog about my birthday weekend you will know that I had to write a speech for Monday morning? I finished and printed out my speech at 1am and then fell asleep. Before I did that though I set my alarm clocks, plural! My phone was switched to loud and the one on the other side of my bed was turned on. Next thing I know i'm being woken up to a knock on my door and Phyllis saying "Sam hon, its 10 after 7. Are you up?" All you hear me say is "fuucccccckkkkkkkk!" very low and quietly. Roll out of bed, grab a pair of jeans and a top, brush my hair, wash my face and brush my teeth, grab my psych book, bag, car keys, a poptart, and a coke before leaving the house 10min later!! Good timing right? I get into class 5min before it starts and I am soo thankful I live so close. I had a Psych test this morning which was why I could not miss class. I left straight after it finished and made my way home because even though I had finished my speech I still had to create my powerpoint for it, plus get changed into something professional looking. I skipped math and was happy with the overall result of my powerpoint and what I looked like. Got to Public speaking on time and signed up to be 3rd to present. I honestly did not care about this speech. At the end of class I found out what I scored..... 68/68. 100% baby!!! To say I was shocked was a major understatement!!

Tuesday

I just had math today and nothing exciting actually happened so moving on to....

Wednesday

A lot happened on this lovely Wednesday :)

I woke up on time today! Good start right?! Haha. So some background information about what went down after Psychology is going to be needed.

There is this guy Zack who sits in the table straight across from me and we always have random conversations before class starts and everything and sometimes I catch him looking at me and vice versa.

Today I had decided to get his number. I don't know how I was going to accomplish this but I knew I was going to get his number. By chance we walked out together cos I was saying something about this picture on the video, anyway he went the same way I normally go. We exit the building and he turns to go one way and i'm like "hey, so whats your number?" I think he was a little shocked I just asked but he put it in my phone and had to double check he got it right because his number is one off from his mums number. Zack did say that I would probably like talking to his mum anyway, haha. I texted him not long after and was like "Hey it's Sam, I really hope this isn't your mums number!" He didn't take long to text back and then we just started talking. While I was in Math he asked if I wanted to go out for lunch. Of course I said yes but said I didn't have my wallet or my car. Being who he is he said he would love to drive and pay. I said well you can pay today and i'll pay another day, he replied lets just call this a date so I can pay. How could I argue with that?! He took me to In 'n' Out because I felt like burgers. We were there for almost an hour and a half just talking!!

During work I texted him and asked if he wanted to go see Nightmare On Elm Street with me, Katy and a whole group of people, he said yes of course haha.

Thursday

Class, clean, work, movie. That was pretty much my day! Zack picked me up after I finished work, which I don't know why. We weren't going anywhere!! All I had to do was walk across the carpark to the movie theatre. But that is the kinda guy Zack is, a gentleman. Bitch bought my ticket to see the movie too! I was already about to ask for 2 tickets but he moved me out of the way and paid for them. He held me through the entire movie and I seriously almost fell asleep 5 times. He was that comfortable and I was that tired! The movie was good, scary at times but I never saw the original so I can't compare.

Friday

I had my Geology exam #3 today, almost fell asleep during the review as well! The exam was hard!! For our Geology Lab we had a field trip to the North Phoenix Park, such fun! But it was a nice day to be outside :) I was walking with Sean and Jeremy and those too are sooo funny and cute I might add :P I hung out with Kelsey for 2 hours then was driving around before suggesting going to a park to meet up with Zack. Me and Zack hung out at the park for almost 2 hours just talking. It was fun!

What made my Friday even better was that Odette, the Marshalls manager, had called because she needed Dushanka in the morning for open and not me so she switched our shifts! This was good cos it meant I did not have to wake up at 6 to be ready for work by 7. I now don't work until 5pm.

Saturday (today)

Slept in until about 11 :) Have been writing this for awhile now and it's about to be posted! Next on my list is to write my Psych research paper.

Anywho

Time to get into writing this blogpost. I feel guilty with myself for constantly putting it off.

I did write ideas down on paper during math class this week as what i wanted to write.

Speaking of my math class... The people i sit with are very, very lameee! I mean one is this chick Sarah who i don't even know if i can explain. She has this pregnant chick who takes notes for her in class while she does other homework. I hope she fails. And this is her 2nd time taking this level of math! Its not that hard. I mean i admit to having trouble working out fractions. Then theres this guy Eric. I don't know who old he is but he is super annoying. What frustrated me even more in the last 2 weeks was that they were being absolute hippo-critical (?) of this group of girls! I admit they were being slightly catty to this chick at another table but she did bring it upon herself when she pulled out her laptop and went onto facebook. Eric and Sarah decided to be like them and gossip:

" I hope they just shut up today"

"I wonder if i would get away with bringing in waterballons" -Eric

On Monday 8th i presented my speech to my Public Speaking class. I thought it went well enough. I was right, haha, i got 61/62 :) My 'official' time was 5:59 BUT the guy who was timing me took off about 30-40seconds!! I love him haha.

So far i am still enjoying my classes! I don't mind having classes all week, its enjoyable to be out of the house every morning. Geology, for the most part, is a lot of fun. Also Psychology and public speaking are fun!! Although being awake enough at 7:30 for Psych is hard but walking over wakes me up enough.

Speaking of my Public Speaking class, hehe see my play on words, there is this super cute guy in my class. I mean i find him really cute and i have a crush on him but if i dont get to talk to him soon then i may just admire from afar. I added him on facebook and got a few replies back, he took awhile to reply so i messaged him my cell BUT haven't had a text or call from him. Kind of disappointed. I was hoping for a text. I sent the message last Friday, to be honest im not sure he has even checked facebook this week. I wrote on his wall that i thought he did pretty good on his speech Wednesday.

I didn't have any luck with those 3 job interviews i had 2 weeks ago?

I have applied at plenty more place i just still haven't caught a break yet. I wish places would call back! Get dad off my back, and i will get to buy the car. Employers want to hire people with experience but the only way for me to get experience is to be hired. Bad cycle.

Did anyone do anything special for Valentines Day? Get chocolate? or roses?

I got neither but i did get to spend the day/night with Kelsey which i consider to be even better!! We rented Penelope and Definitely, Maybe. Both were SUPER adorable! I loved Penelope more. We also watched the Olympics, did facials and Monday morning Kelsey cut my hair! Yes you read right. I finally got a haircut. Shorter than it normally would be but so nice. I wonder if my crush noticed? Hopefully.

Saturday im going hiking with Katy and i am super excited. I get to drive down to her place, i squared it with dad.

Two Sundays ago i went for a hike with Phyllis and my brothers, actually near Katy's, while dad went and looked at cars. By the time we got back from the hike, dad had bought a NEW car!!! Yes i am that much closer to getting his old car. Just need to find a job.

Lately i have been feeling the urge to write a story.

I need to come up with an outline and good summary.

I have an idea but im not sure which genre i want to use.

Im thinking either strictly romance, mystery, or murder.

OR combing all three genres into a romance murder mystery.

Actually, that is a great idea :-)

Yup, i think thats about all thats new with me.

New Semester in a Wet and Windy Week

It's been awhile since i've blogged and i do feel like i have let myself down. I said i was going to write one about 5 times before this week, now i've finally decided to sit down and write one!

In honor of the rain I decided to watch Poseidon :) I thought it seemed fitting.

I had to walk in the rain today, luckily I didn't get wet going to Math but on the way home the puddles in the street turned into a mini river. Needless to say my foot and bottom of my jeans got satcherated. Also I should mention I had an umbrella :) I was also able to wear my black trench coat.

This week classes started back up. I was super nervous Tuesday because i only had Math and i am super bad at it. Turns out we are starting at, like, kindergarten level maths - today we learnt about adding and subtracting. I'm being honest! Supposedly its going to get harder, and I hope so because I have it 4 days a week. I'm sitting at the middle table in the back with 2 guys, Eric and Sam. Eric is probably early 30s and Sam is my age. Yesterday this girl Lauren was sitting with us but she wasn't here today. I like Sam cos when he asked whereIi was from all he said was "All Blacks!!!" I was like "dude you rock!!" :) We should get along just fine.

Wednesday I had my 7:30am class which was Psych, I think i'm really going to enjoy that class. I didn't mind the early start and I picked a table with a fairly cute guy called Andy and Kimberley who said she's taking this class to hopefully get to know her teenage son better. Theres this other guy, Zack, who seems cute atm. :) Ha ha.

I also had my Public Speaking class on Wednesday at 10:30, I was surprised when I saw Doug waiting to go in as well. He was in my English 102 class this past semester! Unfortunately we were put in groups and he's not in mine, oh well. Theres actually a few cute guys in that class! I know one is called Skylar :) Unique name which is why i remember it.

Tomorrow I have Geology from 9am to 2:45pm... Long day for me. Hopefully we will get out early because the lecture ends at 11:45 and the lab doesn't start until 12pm but as it's the 1st day I doubt we will be doing anything else except going over the syllabus.

So, in my last blog i mentioned I was going to the doctors on Tuesday 12 to get my bloods drawn etc.. The bloods weren't as bad as I thought it would be, though when the results came back I found I have a slightly higher cholesterol than I should. Other than that everything is fine with me.

Since my last blog I had a movie night with RJ, we watched Invictus and Halloween 2. Admittedly I hid for pretty much all the scary parts but other than that Halloween 2 was okay. I didn't watch much of Invictus, I just couldn't get into it until the end where South Africa played NZ - then I was yelling at the TV. :) I should have picked Up In The Air with George Clooney but we can watch that next time. Oh, dad also insisted on meeting RJ before we left. It was awkward for me, he said it wasn't bad. No idea what dad thinks of him though, lol, doesn't actually matter. We're only friends. I love his mum and dad though, they are so much fun to chill with.

Nothing has changed on the job front either. I've lost count on how many places i've actually applied to though on Tuesday i filled out an online application for a part-time housekeeping job at The Marriott hotel which I would absolutely love to get! Talking to my (step) dad on Monday made me realize that I do want to work in the Travel & Tourism industry.

On Saturday 16 I had lunch with my dad, I knew what he wanted to talk about so I was able to have some answers already formed. He asked what I wanted to do in 1year and in 5years, where i saw myself career wise, job, University, etc.. Found out that I will be able to buy the car off dad for $500 when I get a job, will have to take out a loan but paying that back will give me credit and credit is everything here - good credit that is.

Dad and I went to, what I now like to call our place, The Codfather.. I had bangers and mash.. HEAVEN! I have not had that since mum last cooked it for me. I miss her cooking.

I also got to talk to my mummy!! She actually rang me. I was in shock that she did. It was good talking to her though, I miss her.

I went and saw Leap Year on Monday with Kelsey, Mel and 2 more friends of hers. Mel got me in for free because she works at that Harkins theatre. The movie was sooo freaking cute!! I posted this on Facebook after I got back home:

"Ah Leap Year was sooo cute!! Defo worth seeing it :) Plus that guy is wow. Hot! His accent... Mum, I think you should be worried if i go to Ireland :P"

And I stand by that.

On Monday I was also able to finish all 7 Harry Potter books :) I was sufficiently proud of myself. Ohh and i also bought The Half Blood Prince on Saturday.. I was driving past Walmart on my way home and I was like "I'm just gonna pop into Walmart" and I saw it and had to have it! Dad would have bought it but I had to get the special features whereas dad would just buy the movie.

Hayden's been making me jealous by sending me pictures of the snow he's getting. Dork. Told him to make me a snow angel today and pxt it to me, so far nothing. I also asked if he could build me a snowman.. Yep he didn't, though to be fair I think he was up the mountains skiing when i asked cos he said "It wasn't the right snow." I will continue asking though.

I think thats everything?

No doubt i will have missed certain things, but they were obviously not important enough to be included in todays blog.

Double Standards

That's what Phyllis told me this morning. Why is it men and women have different standards? Now I'm meaning this in the sense that with dad's, they have different set standards like it's OK for a guy to stay at another guys house but for a girl the dad wants to meet the guy and his parents.

This is what Phyllis told me this morning, the whole conversation came about because I said that next time I hang out with him I'll just crash in their guest room. He lives at home too. I mean seriously? I had to hold my tongue about staying over at Dustin's and Justin's places, not sure how she would have taken that news LOL. Ah, frustration. I mean seriously. He has to meet RJ and his parents? I mean really? I'm 19-freaking-years-old!

Last night I went over to RJ's house to watch movies and to see his Xmas tree in person ha ha. I have to admit that his tree looks pretty amazing!! He picked me up just after 4 and we didn't start watching the 1st movie until almost 7. We were in the kitchen talking to him mum and dad, they are pretty cool people and RJ told me that they both really liked me :) I brought over Pineapple Express and i also picked The Hangover which he had. The Hangover was super funny!! Though I remember RJ saying that because i picked the movies tonight he gets to pick the movies next time, and I have a feeling I may not like his choice. Thinking it may be a scary movie. I didn't get home until almost 3am LOL, was just having to much fun talking and making his answer his phone whenever it rang. His friends were drunk I'm guessing and kept calling him, they didn't know he had someone over (i.e. me) and I made sure to be quiet. It was very entertaining, for me anyway. I also found out he is very ticklish, I mean very! So we were kind of having a tickle war.

I spent the morning and mid-afternoon with Kelsey and her friend Micaela helping Kelsey clean for her Kurmomas party. It's like cosplay or whatever. They dress up like comic book people or something ha ha. It was interesting to say the least.

Sunday I went and saw It's Complicated with Phyllis and Susan and LOL it was hilarious!! Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin were too good together although the scenes where Alec Baldwin is shirtless is ewwwww. But overall the movie was very funny and i recommend seeing it.

Also i did see Avatar on Wednesday last week and OhMyFreakingGosh it was amazing!! I loved it! It was epic! It is a must see :) Let me know if you have seen it already along with It's Complicated, I'd love to know what your thoughts are.

Yesterday I received an email telling me that I was one of the lucky 20 winners to win a book. It was run by the same website where I also won 'Shiver' by Maggie Stiefvater which was an amazing book btw. The book is called 'Malice' and it's by Chris Wooding, I can't say that I am excited to start reading it just because the cover art is a bit odd. I only entered because it was an easy competition and Twilight related :)

I realized today that I have to text Katy about New Years ha ha. I have no idea what the plan is, or if I'm still involved in it. I have a back up plan though, I could spend it with Kelsey which will still be fun but without the drinking. Dad told me yesterday that I have to start looking for and applying for jobs, problem is I've never had to look for a job and no idea how to even begin to start looking. He didn't offer to help me either, he knows I've never worked. I would have loved to have had a job in NZ but I was illegal so yeah... Anyway I'm sure I will figure all this out - fingers crossed.

Happy Dance Time

Tis the season to be jolly alright!

The Fall semester is finally over! No more getting up at 6:30am, no more homework, no more finals!

I found out today that i passed ALL of my classes! ALL of them! Which includes MacroEconomics. I was extremely doubtful i was going to pass that class. But here are my grades as follows

English: B

Juvenile Justice: A

Sociology: B

Macro Econ: C

The only one i'm disappointed in is Sociology, i thought for sure i had got enough for an A but i guess not. Still i passed and i'm very grateful in myself!

Today to celebrate i cleaned my room. Ha-ha, sounds fun i know! But really it was, i love cleaning. Nothing is on my floor! Now if i had taken a before pic to show you, you would be sooo proud with how it looks now! Later on tonight i think im going to rearrange my photos. I am such a party animal!

Tomorrow night i'm having a movie night with Kelsey, we're going to watch the Grinch :) Get into the Christmas spirit. I haven't seen her since the last football game she took me too. On Sunday i'm going out to Katy's Aunts house for her dinner party. I'm really looking forward to that! I get to meet more of her family and spend the night with Katy.

Last weekend i went to a Christmas concert at Katy's church with her and her friend Austin. It was amazing! The choirs were fantastic! The church was HUGE! On Sunday Katy picked me up and i went to Sunday service with her and her dad, his girlfriend, and her grandparents. I have never been to church for actual service. I mean last year i went on Christmas eve for the candlelight service but that was nothing. I have to say i enjoyed it, it was a different experience and something that i could get used to. After service i was invited out to lunch with her family which was nice :)

My Long-Awaited Blog Post

So i know i have been soo very slack when it comes to blogging! And its not like i dont have things to share with all of you!! I do really. I've just been so busy with school.

On Monday i had to hand in a 4+ page definition essay. Mine was 5 plus the works cited. We also had to have 5 sources!! Ugh it was a lot of work.

Anyway in short... My life is good, on Sunday i have my final driving lesson with Chris! Which means thats the day im taking my driving test to get my license!! SCARY =S
Next Saturday i enrolled in a self-defense class for some unknown reason even to me! Though i figure it would be handy to know, dont you?

Classes have been fun especially Sociology! I love Jessica we have soo much fun! Today we both almost had to leave the room because we were laughing so much LOL.. Too funny. And i love English with Katy, shes freaking awesome!

Tomorrow im hanging with Kelsey who i havent seen in like over 2 months!! And i might be hanging out with Dustin tomorrow night though im not sure if Jess and Nabeal will be there as well... I hope so otherwise im not sure i'll want to hang out with him and some of his friends

I'm sorry this isn't longer but i really don't know what else to write until i post pics!

But i will tell you all this.. I think im going to start writing a FanFic, but i will let you know when i post anything! First i need to create an outline! Though i do have a plot idea :)

Sunday Catch-Up

Good Morning Sunday!

Such a fantastic day outside and i choose to be in and catching up with my blog!

At the moment I'm actually watching Andy and Roger at Wimbledon (on telly of course!) Great bloody match!! Really cheering for Andy to win! Right now it's 14-15 to Roger with Andy serving. I've never been one to watch Tennis but this seems like a great match to start with! They've been playing over 4hours!
And.. Roger won 16-14 =( Poor Andy, they both played great but i wanted Andy Roddick to win it!

Ok moving on from Tennis =) Yesterday was of course 4th July and it was the first time i actually celebrated it! It was a good night, but more on that in another post which will have pictures!

Also yesterday i talked to a old friend from high school, Korie, it was interesting to say the least. Quite a bit of history between us yet at the same time there isn't, but that's a story I'm not willing to share. He doesn't seem to have changed much, become a lot more settled and maybe grown up a bit. Found out that he wants to start a family soon with his gf of 2yrs, but not until they get their own place. Thinking about it now, i wasn't that surprised to learn he wants kids- I can see him as a dad and i think he'd be great! As long as his kid got his eyes and smile =) Those are Korie's best features... He has dimples =) Who doesn't love dimples?

Couple weeks ago i got my FIRST Jury Summons!! I haven't even been here a year and I've already gotten one! How unfair is that! Anyway it's on July 29. Phyllis and I keep forgetting to fill it out and post it back and she also said we need to request a new day because i have class that day. But it's only one day and one class =)

And about that ONE class.. Yes! Haha, my Southwest History class was canceled due to low enrollment along with French 102 which was canceled- but poor Kelsey has to go to Scottsdale to take it. So I'm only taking Intro to Philosophy!! I had only wanted to take one class with that because i wanted to be able to focus my full attention on it!

Lately I've been watching chick-flicks at like 10.30pm! Haha. Thursday it was Titanic! I didn't finish that until almost 2am, then i read for a chapter. Friday night it was Casablanca!! First time i ever watched it and OMG it was soooo great! Easy to understand why it is considered a classic. Last night i watched Pretty Woman =) Tonight I plan on watching Robin Hood with Kevin Costner.

So.. I am going to pop on a movie- I'm thinking When Harry Met Sally? Never seen it!

Let the Good Times Roll

It's time to celebrate!!

Well only for a short time =)

I have successfully made it through the 1st 5 week session at PV! I have survived French! That's my main cause to celebrate! That and the fact that i dropped it for next semester =D Anthropology finished today and i am actually very unsure as to what my final grade is going to be! Ms Betz grades very harshly! ugh! and my French grade? Haha bahh best i can hope for is a D.

Yesterday after French Kelsey and I went to Dunkin' Donuts, that was the 1st time there for me.. and i... loved it!! i had a chocolate glazed donut which was the perfect way to end the day! I also got a iced coffee which was also nice.


Today after i finished my Anthropology final Kelsey picked me up and we went to Chick-Fil-A, again that was my 1st time eating there! And OMG it was FANfreakinTASTIC! haha! Loved it!! We decided that we needed to walk it off- so we went to PV mall. I didn't buy anything!

Back to the topic of school.. I got a email Tuesday from one of the admin people telling me that SouthWest History has been CANCELED! Due to lack of enrollments!! How sweet is that? I have yet to actually tell me dad and Phyllis this cos im afraid that dad will make me enroll in another class, but i will tell him tomorrow sometime. So if i get out of enrolling in another course i'll just have Philosophy to deal with.

This weekend is going to be my 1st 4th of July- well the 1st time i'm actually going to celebrate it! Dad has told me that we will be going to a baseball game, a professional rookie game haha. Should be a good time if it isn't hot! Tomorrow we're going bowling, i haven't been in awhile so it should be fairly interesting.

All in all the past 2 weeks have been great! Mainly cos i've gotten to speak to Josh almost everyday which makes my day/night! I miss you Josh.

Why am I still awake?

Yep, it's been Friday for just about an hour now! Nothing special really, just another Friday. But it's the start of the weekend for me so it is a little bit special to me! yet i am still awake, why?

Well..I'm up this late or early because i have been uploading videos to my youtube page here from Thursday night when i went to the circus in Tempe!! It was my first ever circus experience!! And i have to say i loved it! It was so amazing! The clowns were fab, and there was this one real cute one =)

Today i've made plans with kelsey, from my french class, to get together and study then go to the movies to see The Proposal! I saw that on Sunday and OMG i LOVED IT!!! If you haven't seen it already, go and see it as soon as you can! So totally worth it!

This is just a shorty post, will do a loner one over the weekend or even maybe later on today! I will do a picture post from the circus and a whole bunch of pics i took throughout the week. I will also write about the latest and greatest in my life (that will be short!)

And on a side-note, RIP Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, we did lose 2 legends today (yesterday).
