"If he were telling the truth he wouldn't have told us"

Ahh yes, lovely line from Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. Please forgive me in advance if this post has random quotes from the movie..To which I am currently watching....

"Pride of the Kings navy you are"

So it has been about, oh, two weeks since my last post? [checking...] Yeah about two weeks!

"I don't see your ship"...."I'm in the market as it were"

So the big news in my last update was that I was offered a job at Marshalls Home Goods. Its a super store combining Marshalls and Home Goods. I work in the womens department right now with Dushanka and Alex. It's kinda crazy hectic but in a good way. I worked Wednesday 7 and Saturday 10 last week, and this week I was scheduled for Sunday 11, Tuesday 13, and Saturday 17. Tomorrow is payday so hopefully i'll be able to go in after Geology and check my schedule for next week along with picking up my pay cheque. I haven't sorted out direct deposit yet.

"Your not a unick are you?"

Oh in other news, last week we sold the Nissan!!!! $600 for it. The guy knew about the problems with the over heating and engine issues now. So I no have no car. I get to drive dads car during the weekends if im working. Dad and I may go out this weekend to look at used cars. I know we need to sort out the loan and the payments etc. I hope I can handle all this!!

"You can keep doing that forever the dog is never going to move"

Orientation at work was good. Long but good. I meet Lindy and we text each other, she seems cool. Afterwards I went straight to RJ's place and stayed there until 2am. It was fun cos I hadn't seen this kid since before the semester started. Last Saturday (10th) after work, as soon as I got home in fact, I called RJ and was like "Hey....So come get me!" This was like 4:30. He picked me up an hour later and it was sooo much fun! I had put my bikini in my bag as a 'just in case'! Turns out I did jump into his pool. His mum was surprised and happy to see me! We were sitting outside for, I dunno, maybe an hour before I went and stood in his pool, RJ and his mum were like.."Just dive in!".."No, I don't wanna get my clothes wet!" So I said to RJ "i'll go in of you go in", he said deal. Had him shake on it, and said "ok, i'll go get changed" Came back out in my bikini and he was still standing there. He thought i was joking, but I wasn't so he went in and got his boardies on. The water was kinda chilly but got warmer as you moved around. His parents were shocked he actually got in!! Go me! Hahaha. After I had got my clothes back on, his mum, me and RJ sat outside until 9pm. I was killing bugs but a bug zapper that looked like a badminton racket. I killed soooo many of the big bugs that were around. You pushed these two buttons and these lights came out, get the bug on it and it fries the crap out of them. You can make them pop and crackle, they also emit a burning smell. Katy came over at about midnight to hang out, it was cool she got to meet one of my friends for a change! Those two got along famously!

"I am disinclined to act-request your request....means no"

Hmm what else.. I passed my book review speech! I got 65/66! Go mee!! Also I passed my tribute speech! I got a 94 on my math test from Monday. I think its safe to say I am doing pretty well in school! This semester is almost already over. It's gone by so fast. Signed up for Summer classes already.

"This is either madness or brilliant.....Its remarkable how often those traits coincide"

Next week i'm turning twenty! Crazyy. It doesn't even seem like a year has past since I turned nineteen! I have class on Wednesday which means its the 7:30 class! Bleh. Fun stuff. Meh, I don't mind so much haha. I hope i'm not working either Saturday or Sunday. Katy has plans for me and I wanna party sooo bad! She won't tell me what she has planned or who it'll be with. I think I have some idea who we may be with but I am not positive.

"Curse yah for breathing yah slack-jawed idiot!"

Mum and dad sent their birthday boxes to me which arrived Tuesday. Dad's had a few tops which are super cute and the rest of the box is full of NZ delicacies! Like pineapple lumps, cookie time cookies, crunchie bars, rose's chocolates, whitakers peanut slab, jar of marmite, tim tams, toffeepops, oddfellows, and some more items!
Mum's box had some clothes I wanted plus a present! Which I have already opened..tehehe. It's this MASSIVELY huge white pleather handbag. It's gorgeous but huge. haha.

I think thats about all. I honestly can't think of anything else to tell yah!

"Annamaria, [slap]"..
"I suppose you didn't deserve that one either?"..
"No, that one i deserved"..
"You stole my boat"..
"Actually [slap] Borrowed, borrowed without permission but with every intention of bringing it back to you"..
"But you didn't"..

Haha i could go on for hours! I could almost quote this entire movie. I am such a dork!
So no more movie quotes!

Time to tell you about my Easter weekend and why it was the best Easter everrrr :)
Saturday night I had Aunt Charlene's easter dinner. Phyllis and I went down together b'cos dad had taken the boys to Castle N' Coaters. I had a lot of fun there as well! Grandma got me a birthday cake that was seriously delish! I told Phyllis I was gonna be her DD, she had like 8 beers that night! Dad had had a few beers too so he had obviously decided I would be driving the van home with my brothers and Phyllis. The drive was ok, dropped Phyllis off at the Whiskey River bar. :P Katy came and got me soon after I got home. We were planned on having a movie night cos Kylee hadn't gotten back in touch about hanging out. Took some beer out of the fridge and Katy and I made our way to her place. Her dad gave us half a bottle of red wine. Made two bowls of popcorn and popped in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, we decided we would take a shot of wine every time we saw a owl. Made it 20min into the movie before we weren't paying attention, so we just decided to drink it. After her dad left, Katy and I opened up another bottle of wine and at around midnight her friend Mike came over (from the party out in Surprise that night) and hung out with us. Katy and I opened up a third bottle and we were fucked!! Completely trashed on wine. Mike left at like 2am. Sunday morning we were supposed to go to church but we overslept, so we just ended up going to lunch at her aunts house. They told Katy to invite me haha. That food was seriously AMAZING! Defo went into a food coma, again. Found out that DJ is of German and Ukrainian decent. Hot combo, haha. After lunch Katy and I headed back to her place with her dad and his GF where we decided we wanted to go and play in a park. We have such an affinity with parks. We tossed around a football and decided that we were gonna have a picnic in a park with Ilya and DJ and have some games.

Until next time dear readers :)

Everything and Anything

"Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring
Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun

Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time
Dancing and prancing in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air.

What a bright time, it's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell time is a swell time
To go gliding in a one-horse sleigh
Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jingling feet
That's the jingle bell rock."

Haha.. Sorry but it was so addictive to sing to and its at the start of Lethal Weapon - which is what i am watching right now.

Anywho
Time to get into writing this blogpost. I feel guilty with myself for constantly putting it off.
I did write ideas down on paper during math class this week as what i wanted to write.

Speaking of my math class... The people i sit with are very, very lameee! I mean one is this chick Sarah who i don't even know if i can explain. She has this pregnant chick who takes notes for her in class while she does other homework. I hope she fails. And this is her 2nd time taking this level of math! Its not that hard. I mean i admit to having trouble working out fractions. Then theres this guy Eric. I don't know who old he is but he is super annoying. What frustrated me even more in the last 2 weeks was that they were being absolute hippo-critical (?) of this group of girls! I admit they were being slightly catty to this chick at another table but she did bring it upon herself when she pulled out her laptop and went onto facebook. Eric and Sarah decided to be like them and gossip:
" I hope they just shut up today"
"I wonder if i would get away with bringing in waterballons" -Eric

On Monday 8th i presented my speech to my Public Speaking class. I thought it went well enough. I was right, haha, i got 61/62 :) My 'official' time was 5:59 BUT the guy who was timing me took off about 30-40seconds!! I love him haha.
Heres the link to my speech:
Lemme know what you think of it. I would love to show you the powerpoint i used cos it was pretty awesome!

So far i am still enjoying my classes! I don't mind having classes all week, its enjoyable to be out of the house every morning. Geology, for the most part, is a lot of fun. Also Psychology and public speaking are fun!! Although being awake enough at 7:30 for Psych is hard but walking over wakes me up enough.
Speaking of my Public Speaking class, hehe see my play on words, there is this super cute guy in my class. I mean i find him really cute and i have a crush on him but if i dont get to talk to him soon then i may just admire from afar. I added him on facebook and got a few replies back, he took awhile to reply so i messaged him my cell BUT haven't had a text or call from him. Kind of disappointed. I was hoping for a text. I sent the message last Friday, to be honest im not sure he has even checked facebook this week. I wrote on his wall that i thought he did pretty good on his speech Wednesday.

I didn't have any luck with those 3 job interviews i had 2 weeks ago?
I have applied at plenty more place i just still haven't caught a break yet. I wish places would call back! Get dad off my back, and i will get to buy the car. Employers want to hire people with experience but the only way for me to get experience is to be hired. Bad cycle.

Did anyone do anything special for Valentines Day? Get chocolate? or roses?
I got neither but i did get to spend the day/night with Kelsey which i consider to be even better!! We rented Penelope and Definitely, Maybe. Both were SUPER adorable! I loved Penelope more. We also watched the Olympics, did facials and Monday morning Kelsey cut my hair! Yes you read right. I finally got a haircut. Shorter than it normally would be but so nice. I wonder if my crush noticed? Hopefully.

Saturday im going hiking with Katy and i am super excited. I get to drive down to her place, i squared it with dad.
Two Sundays ago i went for a hike with Phyllis and my brothers, actually near Katy's, while dad went and looked at cars. By the time we got back from the hike, dad had bought a NEW car!!! Yes i am that much closer to getting his old car. Just need to find a job.
Here are the pics from the hike with Phyllis:

Lately i have been feeling the urge to write a story.
I need to come up with an outline and good summary.
I have an idea but im not sure which genre i want to use.
Im thinking either strictly romance, mystery, or murder.
OR combing all three genres into a romance murder mystery.
Actually, that is a great idea :-)

Yup, i think thats about all thats new with me.

Almost 3years Ago.. Ahh the good ol' days

Okay so a bit of background..
I found this article on the NZ Hearld News site and after a few mintues of side-splitting laughter i realised i had to post this! So Mr. Smith was a teacher at Dannevirke High School, who actually was my Year 12 Math teacher! And *hahahaha* he was sooooooo CRAP! He took more sick days than you would imagine! I remember trying to count how many substitute teachers we had in 2 terms and i got over 10! All i could remember when i found out he "quit" was Oh Thank GOD!
Enjoy!
Teacher 'forced out' by students
1:00PM Monday Aug 28, 2006

A former high school teacher has filed a personal grievance case after claiming death threats were made against him, that he was threatened falsely with being exposed as a paedophile, and was physically assaulted.

Maths teacher Gregg Smith resigned last month after working at the Dannevirke High School for a year-and-a-half.

He has taken a personal grievance claim against the school for not providing a safe working environment.

Mr Smith, who is from the US, claims he was consistently abused, verbally and physically, by a group of students who wanted him to lose his job.

Dannevirke High School was the 55-year-old's first teaching job after training at the Dunedin College of Education two and a half years ago.
"Students told me in my first week they didn't (want) a foreign teacher," he told the Manawatu Standard.
Students then deliberately misbehaved and organised a petition to get him fired, he said.
Parents also entered the fracas and wrote letters blaming Mr Smith for their children failing NCEA, he claimed.
During his time teaching at the high school Mr Smith said he was called a paedophile, a pervert and "gayboy". He claimed he received death threats over the phone, which were reported to police.
He also said he endured water-soaked tampons thrown around the classroom, students thumping him in the hallway and saying they were going to "bash his head in", students jumping out of windows during NCEA assessments, pouring Twink (white-out) on each others' heads, and making comments about him looking at boht boys and girls inappropriately
Mr Smith said he received no support from the school. Instead, it blamed him for students' behaviour.

Mr Smith said the school forced him to sign a termination agreement. Otherwise he would face competency proceedings, which could mean he would not be able to work in New Zealand again.
He was sent home to think about his "character flaws" which, he said he was told, incited the students' bad behaviour.
"I'm not the only teacher this has happened to. People are being bullied into hiding the uncomfortable truth; students are not learning," he said.

Dannevirke High School board of trustees chairman Tony Rhodes would not comment on Mr Smith's teaching ability, though he said there was a mentoring programme for new teachers.
"We have effective measures in the school to deal with behaviour," he told the Standard.
------
Now tell me you didn't have a right ol' good laugh at that! I mean jumping out of windows?! Pouring Twink in each others hair - no one in their mind would do that! "Thumping him in the hallway" is laughable! *sigh* that time in school was too funny!
