Wow.. i was quite surprised when i logged onto my blog this morning that i have 2 followers! I was expecting anyone to actually be interested in my blogging 'cos it aint 'nuffin (saying that reminds me of muffin.. now i want a muffin.. apple to be exact! hmm) special just me saying whatevers running through my head. So anyway thank you Wannabe Journalist and Elena Lee Twist you kinda made my day!
My step dad sent over this book that i really wanted before i left New Zealand, it's called "Kiwi Speak" by Justin Brown and i must say it is a crack up! So many of the sayings are what i use daily
eg "Can't handle the jandal" - Jandal is what we call flip flops or thongs
"She'll be right" - Can be used in response to pracically anything!!
"Yeah... nah" - okay so the first time i used it over here my cousin thought i was actually gonna say yeah, but i guess everyone in NZ knows what it means.. I use it a lot!!
well i guess i had better post this as i have to finish getting ready to go to the firehouse museum, i'm excited.. i'll blog about what it was later and i might add pics..
